Hilltop Dairy Ltd. is seeking a motivated and hardworking General Farm Worker to join our team near Fort Macleod, Alberta.

This position involves a variety of agricultural tasks including irrigation support, general farm work, crop production, cattle handling, equipment operation, and seasonal harvest work. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, mechanical ability, and willingness to learn in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with irrigation setup, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Operate and maintain farm equipment including tractors, loaders, and irrigation systems
• Support crop production activities including seeding, spraying, haying, and harvest
• Assist with cattle handling and general livestock care
• Perform general farm maintenance and repairs using hand and power tools
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities
• Assist with moving equipment, materials, and other physical farm tasks
• Work safely and efficiently with other team members to complete daily operations

Qualifications

• Class 1 required
• Mechanical experience and equipment knowledge considered an asset
• Experience with irrigation systems or agricultural work preferred
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely
• Strong work ethic and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Physically capable of lifting and performing manual labour
• Valid work permit in Canada required

Training can be provided for the right candidate.
