Job Type: Permanent THE POSITION Keyera is currently seeking a Senior Maintenance Electrical Technician for our EnviroFuels Facility (KEF) located in Edmonton, AB. Reporting to the Electrical Team Lead, this role works a 9/80 schedule and is responsible for testing, diagnosing, servicing, and repairing electrical equipment to support safe and reliable plant operations. Overtime and callout availability are required. Responsibilities Diagnose, test, service, and repair electrical power distribution equipment ranging from 600V to 5kV. Troubleshoot 600V and 4160V motors, Motor Control Centres (MCCs), and switchgear. Maintain, test, and repair electrical equipment, including heat trace systems, VFDs, transformers, motors, and switchgear. Provide technical troubleshooting and problem-solving with a focus on safety, quality, equipment reliability, and production. Read and interpret electrical schematics, loop drawings, panel schedules, data sheets, elementary drawings, and P&IDs. Follow established Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and applicable safe work practices. Participate in outages and turnarounds, including rotational assignments such as Electrical Turnaround Coordinator and MOC Planner/Coordinator. Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Emergency Response, HSE, and other cross-functional teams. Contribute to continuous improvement while maintaining compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and Health, Safety, and Environmental expectations. Qualifications Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician certification with 10+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience. Power Systems certification is considered an asset. Previous experience working in a live industrial plant, including turnaround activities. Demonstrated experience installing, programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting Electric Heat Tracing (EHT) systems, including Thermon and Chemelex. Strong knowledge of protection and control systems, including protective relay testing and programming. Strong knowledge of medium-voltage power distribution, motors, MCCs, switchgear, transformers, and VFDs. Ability to read and interpret loop drawings, data sheets, elementary drawings, P&IDs, panel schedules, and other technical documentation. Familiarity with PLC and DCS control systems. Proficiency using electrical testing equipment. Experience with Maximo work order processing is considered an asset. Valid H2S, Fall Arrest, Man Lift, and Arc Flash certifications are considered assets.
