We are looking for a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA), specializing in Data and Analytics, who is passionate about driving our customers’ transformation on Microsoft Azure. This is a customer-facing role, owning the technical relationship between the customer and Microsoft, helping customers to leverage their Microsoft investments through architecture, and operational health engagements. This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home.

Responsibilities

  • Understand customers’ data estate, business priorities, and success metrics to design scalable and secure data solutions that drive business value.
  • Architect and deliver modern data platforms using Azure services including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and Data Lake.
  • Lead customer engagements focused on data modernization and migration from legacy systems to Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle DB@Azure.
  • Enable advanced analytics and machine learning capabilities through integration with Azure ML, Databricks, and Fabric workloads.
  • Drive adoption of Microsoft Fabric for unified data engineering, data science, and real-time analytics scenarios.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to remove blockers and influence roadmap improvements.
  • Provide technical leadership in Proof of Concepts (POCs), Minimal Viable Products (MVPs), and production deployments.
  • Share best practices and reusable IP across the data architecture community.
  • Maintain deep technical knowledge of Azure data services and stay current with market trends and competitive insights.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 4+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consultin
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in customer-facing roles with hands-on expertise designing and delivering cloud-based data analytics projects.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 8+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 6+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).
  • 4+ years experience working on technical projects
  • Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications)
  • Proficiency in Azure data services such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, and Cosmos DB.
  • Experience with cloud-based data migration and modernization strategies across relational and non-relational databases.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, performance optimization, and real-time analytics.
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with big data technologies and distributed computing.
  • Technical certifications in Azure Data or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Cloud Solution Architecture IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $96,000 - CAD $177,600 per year.
