About the role
Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Senior Tax Analyst to join a well-established global organization in Grimsby, Ontario . This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced tax and accounting professional looking to play a key role in corporate tax compliance, tax reporting, tax audits, and process improvement initiatives. In this role you will be responsible for supporting Canadian tax compliance activities, tax reporting requirements, audit support, and strategic tax initiatives.
This hybrid position offers flexibility, professional growth, and the opportunity to work with a collaborative tax team supporting complex Canadian tax operations.
Pay Rate: $40.00 - $45.00/hour (based on experience)
Location: Grimsby, ON Shift: Flexible start time between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM Job type: Temporary | Full-time Vacancy Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy .
Responsibilities
Coordinate the transfer pricing reporting process, ensuring complete and accurate submissions. Prepare Canadian tax schedules, transfer pricing documentation, and support intercompany agreement execution. Prepare and review corporate income tax returns and supporting documentation. Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting. Prepare and/or review tax provision entries and forecasts for current and deferred taxes. Support indirect tax filings, commodity tax reports, and remittances. Assist with tax audits by gathering documentation, preparing responses, and collaborating with internal stakeholders. Research and analyze tax legislation and emerging tax issues. Participate in projects related to system enhancements, process optimization, and automation initiatives. Provide guidance regarding tax implications of business decisions and operational changes. Mentor and support junior team members as required.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum 1 year of dedicated Canadian corporate tax and/or commodity tax experience. 8+ years of accounting or finance experience, preferably within a large corporate environment. Professional Accounting Designation (CPA) required. Strong understanding of Canadian tax compliance and tax reporting processes. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong financial acumen with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Exceptional organizational and time management abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including business writing and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. Experience working with SAP. Knowledge of data automation tools and process improvement technologies. Experience supporting tax audits and transfer pricing documentation.
