About the role

Description

The Maintenance Manager plays a key role in ensuring the organization’s physical assets, including buildings, equipment, and security systems, remain operational and well-maintained. By proactively managing maintenance tasks and overseeing capital expenditures, the role helps prevent costly downtime, enhances workplace safety, and ensures that the company remains compliant with safety regulations and standards. The role is essential in keeping the organization running smoothly and reducing long-term operational risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion a culture of teamwork, collaboration, ownership, and ongoing innovation in alignment with Triple E’s vision, mission, and guiding principles.
  • Lead the maintenance, security, and housekeeping teams, setting clear performance expectations and ensuring high engagement.
  • Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Track and analyze equipment performance and oversee timely repairs and recommend system improvements.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues; coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or services.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of critical parts.
  • Prepare quarterly capital budgets for equipment and facility upgrades; collaborate with senior leadership on approvals and long-term planning.
  • Review expenditures and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality or safety.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance records using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS); ensure accuracy of work orders and schedules.
  • Oversee facility security systems and protocols; manage the security team and submit monthly compliance reports to the Manitoba Department of Justice.
  • Oversee housekeeping operations across all facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and regulatory requirements; support inspections and continuous safety improvement initiatives.
  • Provide logistical and facility support for internal events such as company barbecues, dealer events, and rallies to ensure smooth execution and a positive experience.

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • 5–7 years of experience in maintenance management, including team supervision and project oversight, is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving operational needs.
  • A strong understanding of building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing).
  • Proficiency in CMMS and understanding of maintenance best practices.
  • Familiarity with workplace safety regulations, risk management, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of capital planning, cost control strategies, and financial analysis related to facility and equipment maintenance.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM), Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP), or Project Management Professional (PMP) are considered assets.
  • Training or certification in Lean or other continuous improvement methodologies is an asset.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Available to be on-call for emergency maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Legal right to work in Canada.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required to support operational needs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the production facility for extended periods.
  • Living within a reasonable commuting distance of Triple E is considered an asset, as it ensures responsiveness and operational reliability.

Working Conditions:

  • On-Site, Monday - Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
  • Available to respond to emergency maintenance or security issues on an on-call basis outside of regular working hours.
  • Office setting as well as Industrial or commercial setting. Work may involve both indoor and outdoor locations.
