About the role
Aberdeen City Podiatry Service is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Minor Surgery Specialist Podiatrist to join our forward-thinking and dynamic team.
This role is ideal for an experienced podiatrist with a strong interest in nail surgery and minor surgical procedures, who is looking to further develop advanced clinical skills within a supportive multidisciplinary environment
Key Responsibilities Include
Deliver high-quality minor surgical interventions, including nail surgery (both partial and total nail avulsion) Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of podiatric conditions Work autonomously within clinical guidelines and professional scope of practice Provide patient-centred care with a focus on safety, infection control, and excellent outcomes Contribute to service development, audit, and clinical governance activities Support and mentor junior staff and students where appropriate
You Will
Be HCPC registered Podiatrist with Local Anaesthetic certification Have demonstrable experience in minor surgery / nail surgery Possess excellent clinical reasoning and decision-making skills Be committed to continuous professional development Have strong communication and interpersonal skills Be able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
