BGC Okanagan is hiring a Case Manager of CLBC Programs!

The Case Manager, CLBC Programs, supports young adults in strengthening their resilience, building essential life skills, developing healthy relationships, and connecting with community resources. In this role, you will work collaboratively with participants and CLBC to identify goals and support their progress. Services are delivered through a participant-centered approach, offering one-to-one and group-based support both in the office and within the community. This is a casual, on-call position.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Gathers information relevant to the participant’s problems, needs, and risks by interviewing, observing behaviour, meeting with caregivers and service providers, and using an assessment tool. Reviews the information collected to identify strengths, problems, needs, and risks.

  • Develop and implement short-term, issue-specific intervention plans within the program scope.

  • Plans, prepares, and conducts group or individual sessions using techniques such as active listening, conflict resolution, and problem-solving to address the identified problems, needs, and risks.

  • Assesses the effectiveness of strategies used and checks in on the participant’s progress toward goals, adjusting the approach as needed to best meet participant needs.

  • Maintains related records and statistics and provides reports to the supervisor as required.

  • Liaises with other professionals and the participant’s natural supports to promote the interests of the participant and their family.

Qualifications

  • A diploma, certificate and/or relevant experience working with children in recreation, education, or social services.

  • First Aid Certificate.

  • Class 5 driver's license and a clean driver's abstract

Working Conditions

  • Requires travel by vehicle to meet with participants.

  • Involves outreach work in community-based settings, including local businesses and public locations.

  • Includes intermittent physical activity such as walking, standing, and sitting.

Hours: Casual hours, Monday to Friday

Rate of Pay: $24.85 per hour
