Position Overview
In this replacement position, the Senior Brand Manager, you will lead the development of brand strategy, marketing programs, and consumer-centric innovation. You will collaborate with external agencies and internal partners to create and execute effective plans to drive business growth and profit. This role requires strategic thinking, leadership, and a strong CPG marketing skillset. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced marketer who wants to create winning brand plans, bring them to life, and deliver strong results.
This position is a Hybrid model. The successful applicant will be able to split their workweek between Corporate Office and at-home-work
Responsibilities
Marketing strategy
- Setting brand strategy grounded in fact-based consumer insights, including target, positioning, and objectives
- Assessing and diagnosing brand performance drivers, identifying insights, and developing effective growth strategies
Marketing execution
- Leading agencies and internal stakeholders to create and execute integrated marketing support including consumer promotions, digital media campaigns, partnership programs, new or refreshed package designs and other marketing programs and materials
Business management
- Identifying opportunities for portfolio growth and optimization, and mitigating risks, including developing the annual business plan and growth projections and presenting to senior leadership for alignment
- Managing the P&L to deliver against growth and profit targets
Innovation
- Working with the R&D and Innovation teams to create a robust innovation pipeline driven by consumer trends
- Leading cross-functional teams to bring product and packaging innovations and renovations to market
Qualifications
- Post secondary degree or diploma in Business or related field
- 5+ years of CPG Brand Management experience in the Canadian market with a successful track record of delivering on targets
- Experience managing a brand P&L, leading direct reports and cross-functional teams, working with Marketing/Advertising agencies, and leveraging data and research to identify insights and develop winning strategies
- Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office and Nielsen data. Exposure to COGNOS and Vena an asset
- A winning attitude including being results-driven, collaborative and curious with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Salary will be determined based on the candidate's skills, experience, and internal equity.
