About the role

As a Member Communications Consultant (MCC), you will partner with large national clients to enhance the member experience and drive engagement in group retirement plans. Your focus will be on delivering impactful education strategies and communications that improve plan participation and support client objectives.

Position Responsibilities

Relationship Management Serve as the primary point of contact for the member experience, ensuring smooth onboarding, enrollment, and ongoing engagement. Build strong sponsor relationships by understanding client objectives and aligning education strategies to meet those goals. Participate in regular client meetings to review member behavior, share insights, and recommend actionable improvements. Support client projects, including plan changes and transitions, ensuring clear communication and minimal disruption. Participate in large-case RFPs and shortlist presentations to help retain and grow business.

Education Strategy & Communications

Design comprehensive education strategies and annual calendars tailored to member demographics and behavior. Analyze member engagement data against benchmarks to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement. Develop custom communication materials that simplify complex retirement concepts and drive participation. Leverage multichannel tools (email, digital platforms, webinars) to maximize reach and engagement. Ensure all communications include clear calls-to-action and measurable outcomes.

Project Management & Reporting

Create detailed action plans and work-back schedules for all communication initiatives. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure resources are available and timelines are met. Provide regular progress updates to clients and internal stakeholders, highlighting critical tasks and risks. Track success metrics for education and communication programs, report results, and adjust strategies to optimize impact.

Required Qualifications

Strong relationship management and communication skills, including active listening and the ability to build trust. Confidence in presenting in formal settings (shortlists, pension committees). Proven project management experience with the ability to meet tight deadlines and pivot quickly. Knowledge of group retirement products; RPA designation or willingness to obtain. A resourceful, solution-oriented mindset with strong analytical skills. Tech-savvy approach and familiarity with multichannel communication tools and digital platforms. Bilingualism: English-French is required.

Referenced Salary Location

Montreal, Quebec Working Arrangement Hybrid Salary range is expected to be between $71,475.00 CAD - $119,125.00 CAD Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
