Position Summary The Steward supports kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, ensuring proper sanitation, and assisting with kitchen deliveries. The Porter/Steward plays a crucial role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly by handling dishwashing, organization, and maintaining a hygienic work environment. Must be comfortable working in outdoor conditions.
This is a temporary role that will start May 4, 2026 and will end on October 1, 2026 This role pays an hourly rate of $20.00 CAD
This position will remain open until May 1, 2026. About The Venue Welcome to Rogers Stadium , a new 50,000 capacity outdoor venue in North Toronto. Oak View Group serves the stadium as its main Food & Beverage partner during a brief but intense season of 12-15 concerts, running from May to September. This is a perfect opportunity for someone looking for an extra gig, part-time work, and a fun work environment.
Responsibilities
- Wash, rinse and sanitize kitchen equipment such as dishes, pots, pans, cutlery, utensils and all necessary tools and equipment for kitchen and restaurant use.
- Sort, stack dishes, and load/unload dishwasher.
- Maintain the cleanliness of floors, mats, drains, walls as well as shelves in the kitchen area.
- Assist with kitchen deliveries including proper storage, organization, and rotation of products.
- Ensure all breakages and chipped items are removed from circulation and must be inventoried.
- Must arrive to workstation on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work.
- Follow department policies, procedures and service standards.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Must be a highly motivated individual.
- Must be flexible with shift work hours.
- Prior experience an asset.
- Must be able to perform physically under pressure.
- Must be able to handle a warm working environment.
- Must be able to operate, lift, push and pull equipment.
- Must be legally able to work in Canada.
- Must be able to work different shifts, which may include holidays, evenings and weekends.
