#About the Role
Our Head bartenders are the team leaders for our bartending staff. They lead by example in the operation of Bar & Concession services at the Taylor Centre for the Performing Arts as well as various other venues on the MRU campus. Our Head bartenders oversee our bartenders to ensure the professional and courteous delivery of our food and beverage products to patrons at public and private events. Head bartenders collect payments via Clover pin-pad terminals and are required to track sales via the Clover POS. Head bartenders conduct regular inventories to ensure that product is properly accounted for, stored and locked. Head bartenders are also responsible for signing the bartending staff in and out during a shift and reporting any service related or any conduct or tardiness issues directly to the Bar & Event Supervisor and Theatre Liaison.
##Responsibilities

Supervision of bartending team to assist in the smooth operation of the Bar & Concession service

Lead by example when delegating duties to the bartending staff

Conducting pre-service stocking, inventorying and cleaning to ensure the safe delivery of a variety of alcoholic beverages, non-alcoholic beverages and confections

Collecting payments and accounting transactions at the end of each shift.

Compiling all data and submit post-event report for the Bar & Event Supervisor’s review

Delegate assignments to bar staff when performing post-service “close up” checklists to make sure that the bar is clean, reset and ready for pre-service prep for the next event
##Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- 6–12 months of bartending or relevant experience, with demonstrated ability to lead or supervise a team in a fast-paced service environment.
- Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and adherence to liquor service regulations.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coordinate staff and manage multiple tasks during events.
- Valid Alberta ProServe certification.
Salary: $15.00 - $18.87 per hour
