The Translator (EN–FR) and Coordinator is responsible for delivering high‑quality English to French translation and revision services across a variety of materials, including marketing, technical, corporate, and group insurance documents. This role plays an important part in ensuring linguistic accuracy, consistency, and clarity while supporting timely delivery and strong internal communication.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Linguistic Services, the Translator works closely with internal stakeholders to coordinate translation and documentation projects, clarify requirements, and support efficient workflows. This role also contributes to process improvements and serves as a trusted internal language resource across the organization.

-Hybrid working model based out of our Winnipeg, MB office, with three days in-office per week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Translate and revise English to French content, including marketing, technical, corporate, and group insurance documents
  • Proofread French materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency between English and French versions
  • Maintain and update terminology databases, glossaries, translation memories, and related documentation
  • Provide linguistic guidance and support, including reviewing contract wording to ensure alignment with policy intent
  • Coordinate translation and documentation projects as assigned, ensuring quality standards and timelines are met
  • Work with internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and support timely project delivery
  • Communicate project requirements, timelines, and status updates effectively
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to translation workflows and documentation practices
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in translation, linguistics, communications, or a related field
  • Experience in translation, revision, and or localization project coordination
  • Fully bilingual in English and French with strong writing and editing skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Experience creating and maintaining technical and policy documentation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365; experience with CAT tools such as Transifex or Localyze is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of group insurance or related industries is considered an asset
  • Strong communication skills, adaptability, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
