Position: Sales Representative
Location: Vancouver Island
Status: 12 month Contract
This position’s territory will require the candidate to live on Vancouver Island
Charton Hobbs Inc. is a well-established, highly reputable National wine, spirits, sales, and marketing agency selling such brands as Perrin, Santa Carolina, Moet Hennessy, Veuve Clicquot, Glenmorangie, Luxardo, and many of Canada’s bestselling wine brands. We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for Vancouver Island, calling on Independent, government retail outlets, and on-premise accounts.

We are looking for an energetic team member who is a self-starter, passionate about building great relationships, and is a terrific team member to join our existing team of fun, friendly, and high achieving sales representatives.

Preference will be given to candidates with industry experience however we welcome anyone who is the right fit for our group.
What does it take to succeed in this job?
Potential candidates will have a passion for wine and spirits, and the ability to hold a valid passport and driver’s license for business related travel. Preference will be given to candidates with WSET training and/or industry experience. This position’s territory will require the candidate to live on Vancouver Island.
- Skilled at closing the sale.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Professional presentation and recognized ability for persuasive sales.
- Leadership and ability to influence major accounts.
- Ability to analyze statistics for targeting sales.
- Ability to set and execute high standards of performance.
- Advanced organization and planning skills and the ability to respect tight schedules.
- Bachelor Degree or related business experience preferred.
Base salary commensurate with experience plus incentive bonus, car allowance and benefits. Business related expenses are also covered.
