About the role
Key Job Responsibilities Include:
- Lead and develop the Bulk Fuel Team to ensure a safe, productive, engaged workforce by; recruiting, training, developing, and mentoring drivers, cardlock attendants, and support staff.
- Promote and foster a safe work environment through training, audits, and communication.
- Build customer relationships and drive business growth by positioning Heritage Co-op as a trusted energy supplier.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve volume, margin, and revenue targets.
- Monitor fuel levels, forecast demand, and coordinate timely replenishment to avoid shortages.
- Adhere to environmental regulations, transportation laws, and industry standards for handling hazardous material.
- Set and maintain excellence in Brand Standard.
- Ensure preventative equipment maintenance
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, expense monitoring, and reporting on financial performance against targets .
Who you are:
- Post-secondary education in Business, Agriculture, or a related field preferred.
- 6 years of experience in energy operations and sales, including 4+ years of leadership experience
- Strong understanding of bulk petroleum storage, handling, and distribution systems
- Experience with inventory control systems and tracking logistics
- Excellent leadership and talent development skills
- Strong business acumen
- Effective communication and customer service aptitude
- Strong decision making and problem solving skills
