Position Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current registration with the College Nurses of Ontario required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
- Cardiac Interpretation skills required
- Certification in venipuncture and IV initiation
- PACU course and recent experience an asset
- Demonstrated clinical expertise and 5 years of recent experience in surgical nursing, both pre, post general anesthetic and post-op
- Previous critical care nursing an asset
- A good attendance and work record demonstrating reliability and dependability is essential
- A resume regarding further education, special courses and experience should accompany the application
NOTE: The successful applicant to this position will be cross-trained and may be scheduled to work in the Surgery Centre Pre/Post and Eye Clinic as scheduling needs and operational demands require.
HOURS OF WORK:
Rotating start times as per unit schedule. Days of operation Monday – Friday.
Shifts may be assigned at Charlton Campus if required.
