Hybrid: Markham, Ontario
Job Description Role Overview As a Demand Planner, you will play a key role in end-to-end demand forecasting for assigned categories, leveraging analytics and cross-functional inputs to support accurate demand plans that enable inventory and service level objectives. You will partner with Merchandising, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to incorporate commercial insights, manage lifecycle and promotional forecasting, and support continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy and process maturity.
Salary Range - $65,000 - $75,000
Key Responsibilities Forecast Modeling & Maintenance
- Build and maintain statistical forecasts in Blue Yonder Demand.
- Review, analyze, and reconcile forecast variances.
- Support new item and new store forecasting activities.
Business Integration & Collaboration
- Partner with cross-functional teams to incorporate business and commercial intelligence into demand plans.
- Translate commercial and analytical insights into forecast adjustments and scenarios.
- Communicate key assumptions, risks, and areas of uncertainty to stakeholders.
Promotional Forecasting
- Build forecast lifts for promotional events and campaigns.
- Review promotional results and incorporate learnings into future forecasts.
Demand Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor, analyze, and improve forecast accuracy and bias to identify improvement opportunities.
- Use forecast performance and inventory outcomes to inform ongoing forecast and planning adjustments.
- Participate in the evolution of demand planning tools, processes, and ways of working.
- Support system enhancements and process improvements aligned with planning maturity goals.
Skills & Competencies
- Solid understanding of statistical and judgmental forecasting concepts.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Ability to interpret data, identify insights, and communicate findings clearly.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across functions.
Education & Experience
- Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, Analytics, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in demand planning or forecasting roles.
- Experience with Blue Yonder Demand preferred; experience with SAP IBP, Oracle Demantra, o9, or Relex considered an asset.
- Experience supporting multi-node supply chains is beneficial.
