Your Role in Supporting Our Members: We are seeking an RPA Automation Engineer to join our Automation Pod, responsible for building scalable, production grade intelligent automation solutions using RPA platforms and AI enabled services.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on designing, developing, and deploying automation workflows that integrate UiPath with enterprise systems, APIs, and AI services, including Agentic AI and GenAI capabilities developed within the AI CoE.

This is a highly hands on engineering role; success is measured by reliability, production ready automations—not slideware or experimentation alone.

This is a  Full-time, Permanent  role based at our Head Office, in Vancouver, British Columbia, and reporting to Senior Manager, Robotics Process Automation.

Our head office is based in Vancouver, but we are open to candidates in BC and Ontario. While this position is for an existing vacancy and provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands when needed.

How You'll Make an Impact:

Build & Deploy Intelligent Automation

  • Leading the end-to-end design, develop, test, and deploy automation workflows using RPA workflows using UiPath, Power Automate, of Power Apps and related automation tools
  • Build end-to-end automations that integrate with enterprise applications, APIs, databases, and cloud services
  • Develop reusable automation components that improve reliability, maintainability, and scalability

Intelligent & Agentic Automation

  • Implement intelligent automation patterns that combine RPA with:
  • Document understanding and verification
  • NLP and communication mining
  • AI driven decisioning and Agentic AI services
  • Collaborate with GenAI and Applied ML pods to integrate LLM powered services and predictive models into automation workflows

Engineering Standards & Quality

  • Follow established coding standards, governance guidelines, and security requirements
  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of automation solutions
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to shared automation libraries and standards
  • Support production monitoring, incident resolution, and continuous improvement of deployed bots
  • Developing dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track utilization, success metrics, and identify opportunities for optimization or enhancement

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Work closely with:
  • RPA Pod Manager and RPA Architect
  • GenAI Engineers and ML Engineers
  • Business analysts, process owners, and IT partners
  • Participate in agile delivery rituals (planning, standups, demos) and contribute to

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

Required Experience

  • 6-10 years of experience in RPA development, automation engineering, or software engineering roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with UiPath (or comparable RPA platforms)
  • Proven experience integrating automations with APIs, databases, and enterprise systems
  • Experience deploying and supporting automation solutions in production environments
  • Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in RPA tools such as UiPath Studio and RPA development best practices
  • Solid programming skills in Python, C#, VB.NET, or equivalent, with strong problem-solving ability
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data access and automation support
  • Understanding of exception handling, logging, monitoring, and secure credential management
  • Experience integrating RPA with GenAI or Agentic AI services (LLMs, NLP, document intelligence)
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps)

Extra Skills That Set You Apart:

  • Experience integrating RPA with GenAI or Agentic AI services (LLMs, NLP, document intelligence)
  • Familiarity with AI such as GenAI, Agentic AI and Data Engineering and Data wrangling pipelines.
  • Experience working in regulated or enterprise environments
  • Familiarity with Intelligent Automation or Hyper automation patterns
  • Familiarity with Azure and cloud-based services
  • Certificates in UiPath AI streams, Power Apps, and Power Platform Extra Skill #2

What You’ll Earn:

This role offers a salary range of  $101,200 - $124,950 per annum . The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
