##The team you will be a part of

TheCommercial Sales team owns the strategic roadmap and financial performance of the Canadian business unit. It develops integrated go-to-market plans and manages key relationships with retailers and cross-functional partners to maximize market share. The team utilizes advanced reporting and sales tools to drive operational efficiency and execute long-term growth initiatives.

##This role in summary

We are looking for a dynamic, experienced Direct Builder Sales Manager to drive sales and business development within the residential construction industry. The successful candidate will be working directly with business owners, executives, senior buyers and merchandisers of regional and independent builder accounts in the assigned territory of Ontario/Quebec. This person will develop and implement strategic business plans to profitably grow their business to achieve specific volume targets. This person will ensure flawless execution of all contracts secured.

##Your responsibilities will include

-**Overall Sales & Strategy:**Lead the overall sales strategy for the assigned territory, managing both direct and distributor channels. -**Account Management & Profitability:**Take direct accountability for account P&Ls, including unit volume, sales, margin, and profit dollars. -**Sales Execution:**Oversee the implementation of sales programs, quote proposals, and develop joint business plans to meet or exceed annual targets -**Business Development:**Actively identify and prospect new, high-volume builders, developers, and general contractors to drive business growth. -**Contract Preparation & Negotiation:**Oversee the preparation and negotiation of sales contracts and ensure all documentation complies with company and legal standards. -**Project Logistics:**Manage the "order-to-cash" process, including order logistics, shipment tracking, and delivery coordination for single-family and multi-family projects. -**Relationship Management:**Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term partnerships with new and existing customers, including senior buyers, purchasing managers, and project managers at local, regional, and national levels. -**Market Intelligence:**Maintain a deep understanding of competitors (products, marketplace activity, and future direction) and stay current on appliance marketplace trends and distribution. -**Cross-Functional Collaboration:**Partner with trade and brand marketing for timely product launches and work with internal operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate monthly and quarterly forecasting and inventory management. -**Showroom & Merchandising:**Create showroom presence to build brand visibility. -**Training Support:**Serve as a product training expert -**Territory Logistics:**Plan and organize territory activities from a home office, including up to 80% travel within the territory with occasional overnight, evening, and weekend requirements.

##Minimum requirements

  • University Degree or College Diploma
  • 4+ years of experience in sales and/or marketing

##Preferred skills and experiences

  • Understanding of the builder marketplace, distribution, customers, trends and direction
  • Strong networking and communication skills; build strong internal and external working relationships
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of financials
  • Operate at both a strategic and tactical level
  • Leadership, initiative and determination within a growth oriented team environment
  • Business acumen as well as understanding the economics of a business
  • Understanding and an appreciation for product category management and sales process
  • Proactive and decisive in driving increased revenue
  • Developed analytical and computer abilities
  • Handle multiple activities and be self-motivated.
  • Bilingual in English and French
