About the role

Position Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in all stages of the design process to create tailored workplace solutions. You will produce accurate renderings, detailed drawings and specifications, to support Teknion pursuits and clients. The successful candidate must be able to manage multiple projects with exceptional speed and accuracy. Excellent critical thinking and design problem solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients and design teams to specify furniture solutions
  • Prepare detailed specifications, quotes, BOMs, layouts, and drawings
  • Coordinate with Teknion facilities to obtain quotes and manage project documentation
  • Leverage expertise in furniture products, materials, and trends
  • Utilize design software, including CAP2020/AutoCAD, CET, and KeyShot
  • Conduct site visits to verify specifications and lead walk-throughs (as needed)

Qualifications:

  • Post secondary degree or diploma in Interior Design or Architectural Technology.
  • 3-4 years minimum experience working with contract office furniture.
  • Ability to read architectural drawings
  • Proficient in CAP2020 with AutoCAD and CET specification tools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills required.
  • Superior attention to detail, memory, organizational and time management skills
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of Key Shot
