Telecommunication/Network Researcher/Engineer
Location: MetaMind Innovations P.C., Kozani or Thessaloniki, Greece
Employment: Fix-term; full time (40 hours)

MetaMind Innovations P.C. is looking for one Telecommunications-Networks Researcher/Engineer with interests in the following areas:
– 5G and beyond (6G) systems
– Software Defined Networking
– Network Function Virtualisation
– Mobile/Wireless/Vehicular Networks
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering or computer science or other relative fields; Background in communications and signal processing, especially physical layers of communication systems; Experience with Matlab; Strong Mathematical and problem-solving skills; Experience on link level or system level simulation and modelling; Programming skills; Excellent written and oral communication skills;
Preferred Qualifications
MSc or PhD degree in telecommunications or networks; Experience with Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe Research and Development (R&D) projects; Experience with telecommunications/networks standards (e.g., WLAN (802.11be/11ax/11ac,..), 3GPP (RAN1/RAN2), etc.); Experience on millimeter waves or Terahertz waves (mmWave, 5G NR, 802.11ad/ay) technologies; Familiarity with SDN and/or NFV techniques; Experience with MIMO and NOMA schemes; Track record of high impact scientific publications;
Responsibilities
Research and design next generation (5G and beyond/6G, sensors, IoT) wireless communication systems for radio access networks with emphasis on the PHY/MAC/L2/L3 layers; Perform link-level and system simulator modeling and framework design; Conduct mathematical analysis for optimization of network and computing resource allocation; Editing, authoring and delivery of technical reports and deliverables; Communication with other engineers and researchers; Participation in technical meetings, representing MINDS;
