Intent of the process
This is an anticipatory process to address future needs (potential intent is for 4 permanent full-time positions).
A pool of qualified and partially qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures.
In the event that an employee of the public service is qualified through this process, and there is a temporary need, he/she may be considered for acting, deployment, assignment or secondment opportunities.

Degree equivalency
Experience: Experience providing technical support in agricultural research.
Experience in implementing and maintaining agricultural operations in the field.
Experience operating plot equipment.

Education: Post-secondary diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in one of the following fields: agronomy, plant biology, Plant or Crop Science; Soil Science, Environmental Science; Biology or a related agricultural program.
Degree equivalency
Experience: Experience in extracting, quantifying, and manipulating DNA from crop plants.
Experience with the Canadian seed certification system.
