Position Summary Dufferin Asphalt, a CRH Company, is seeking a Plant Operator (Batcher). This role is key to ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality asphalt production while supporting daily plant operations and delivering excellent service to our customers.
Responsibliies
- Operate plant controls to produce hot-mix asphalt according to specifications
- Assist with daily plant operations, maintenance, and repairs
- Provide timely and professional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, skid steers, and trucks
- Comply with Environmental, Health & Safety policies and identify potential hazards
- Travel to other plant locations as required by production schedules
Requirements
- Previous experience batching in a constructions materials environment (concrete, asphalt, pre-cast or aggregates) or asphalt plant operations preferred
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills and mechanical aptitude
- Basic computer skills and ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Valid G-class driver’s license
- Welding experience is an asset
- Flexibility to travel to support operational needs
