Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As the Senior Logistics Specialist, you are a key member within the Delivery & Transportation function, supporting day-to-day logistics operations and performance across inbound and outbound supply chain flows.

Acting as a subject matter expert, driving operational excellence, process consistency, and continuous improvement across transportation, vendor management, and reporting.

You play a critical role in translating business needs into logistics solutions, influencing decisions through data, and ensuring reliable, scalable, and cost-effective delivery across all channels.

This role is primarily based out of our New Westminster, BC office and is open to hybrid work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

The Delivery & Transportation Team is a vitally important link between the many global components of the Arc’teryx business and our internal stakeholders. Our team is a key contributor in making Arc’teryx successful, and we take pride in the magnitude of the impact we have despite our small team size. We operate behind the scenes, and the work we do creates the foundation for the business to deliver an excellent customer experience.

If you were the Senior Logistics Specialist now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

Supporting the Manager, Delivery & Transportation in guiding a high performing logistics team and supporting the day-to-day leadership of the team.

Assisting with day-to-day team operations, including workload management, prioritization, and performance oversight

Establishing best practices and standard ways of working across the logistics team

Acting as a point of contact for internal team members regarding specific distribution center queries and updates

Overseeing shipment visibility and exception management, ensuring risks are identified and resolved proactively

Providing routing instructions for finished goods, raw materials and related materials

Helping to mentor and train new members of the team

Reviewing, auditing, coding, and approving freight invoices (air, ocean, and courier) to quotes or price agreements

Analyzing and formulating logistics solutions for new trade lanes and expedited shipments

Creating and maintaining transit timetables to ensure purchase orders are planned with correct shipping lead times

Supporting logistics performance reporting, including KPI development, accuracy, and insights to inform decision-making

Supporting the development, standardization, and continuous improvement of Logistics SOPs

Driving cross-functional logistics alignment, ensuring clarity on timelines, risks, and priorities

Supporting resolution of complex logistics escalations, coordinating internal and external stakeholders to drive timely outcomes

Improving logistics processes wherever possible to maximize efficiency and improve service to internal and external customers

Identifying issues/gaps in vendor performance and escalating to leadership for resolution if necessary

Monitoring and tracking detention and release issues related to custom delays

Providing support for Distribution, Transportation and Supply Chain projects as required

Upholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing, throughout the Arc’teryx supply chain

Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

Supporting on multiple project implementations on inbound end-to-end delivery from T1 vendors to destination

Tracking and monitoring outbound orders for all channels including retail, wholesale and ecommerce

Extracting reports and provide data analytics reflecting system, functional and operational gaps within a Supply Chain or Logistics process

Collaborating with cross functional departments during cadence meetings for status updates and execute weekly summary and action items

Providing freight rates and forecast freight budgets for new seasonal models

Identifying market trends and acting as a logistics advisor to business partners

Supporting the creation of dashboards for comprehensive lane review and monitoring

Are you our next Senior Logistics Specialist?

You have 5+ years' experience in logistics, or another relevant supply chain field

You are highly organized, possessing a strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage and maintain high volume of data

You are proficient in the use of SAP

You have experience leading projects or initiatives across cross-functional teams

You can create dashboards, pivot tables and translate data into identifying process gaps

You act as mentors to other members on the logistics team

You are comfortable making decisions in ambiguous environments

You have strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing

You excel at communicating with internal customers as well as with external vendors

You are self-motivated, with the ability to work with minimal supervision

You are proficient with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, Power Point, PBI, and AFO

You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity

You balance autonomy and collaboration with your teammates

You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement

You seek the best (but sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right

Compensation: The salary range for this role is CAD$82,000 - CAD$103,000

This range reflects market alignment and the scope of the role. Individual pay is determined by your skills, experience, and level of responsibility.
