WAGE RATE: $37.071 – $38.157
Reporting to the Manager of Medicine, Owen Sound Site, the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) works collaboratively in an inter-disciplinary team to provide care to those patients with a stable and predictable outcome within the defined professional scope of practice as set out by the CNO.
Qualifications
Required:
Ontario College of Nurses registration Ability to work at full scope of practice Coronary Care 1 Course or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire 2 years recent acute care nursing experience Excellent organizational and patient assessment skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills with patients, families and other healthcare professionals Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and interpersonal skills Commitment to continuing education and professional development Participation in quality improvement initiatives on the unit Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records Adherence to Brightshores ‘CARE’ Behaviours (Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Excellence) and ‘LEAD’ Competencies (Lead by example, Empower, Achieve results, Develop others) and a commitment to a safe workplace free of violence and harassment Advocates and supports a culture of patient safety and demonstrates an understanding of how the department service and assigned responsibilities contribute to overall patient safety at Brightshores through patient safety knowledge, skills and attitudes.
