About the role
BCIT’s Forensics Department is seeking a regular, part-time (0.5 FTE**) Faculty.** The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the development and delivery of courses taught to students in the Digital Forensics and Cybersecurity Program.

Supervision of students completing capstone projects
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS**:**
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, Master’s degree or PhD preferred.
- 5 years of work experience with digital forensics, such as Mobile Device Forensics (e.g., Cellebrite UFED) and Computer Forensics (X-Ways, Axiom Cyber, FTK, etc.).
- Experience with Cloud forensics and Digital Forensics Incident Response.
- Work experience with Legal Procedures and Evidence, preferably qualified as an expert witness.
- Teaching experience at the post-secondary level with full course responsibility and supervision of student projects preferred.
- Understanding of various learning styles and teaching strategies.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Professional attitude which includes commitment, responsibility for professional growth, open-mindedness, inclusion of diverse student population, and flexibility.

The successful applicant will be required to participate in a paid one week long instructional skills workshop, ideally prior to the beginning of classes.

Salary Range
Salary Range: $65,045 - $113,545 per annum.
Additional Salary Information
Salary prorated based on percentage and term of appointment. Salary based on education, experience and placement criteria as outlined in the Collective Agreement.
