What You’ll Be Doing
Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect, service and maintain a diverse fleet of construction equipment including (but not limited to) earth-moving equipment, compaction equipment, and aerial equipment such as telehandlers, boom lifts and scissor lifts on customer jobsites (and in the shop as needed).
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and make required repairs, testing repaired equipment for proper performance on customer jobsites (and in the shop as needed).
- Provide a high standard of customer service in all interactions with customers.
- Maintain documentation of inspections, maintenance, and work orders in a thorough and timely manner.
- Assist with other duties within the branch such as washing and cleaning equipment, organizing the yard, deliveries, answering the phone, etc. to support the opening of the new London, ON location.
- Adhere to all company Health and Safety Policies.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of mechanical experience is required, preferably working on a variety of construction equipment. 421A or 310T license is an asset (but not required).
- Valid class G driver's license with clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than 3 demerit points).
- Must be able to lift up to approximately 50 lbs.
- Highly flexible; must be comfortable with adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment, and willing to assist with other duties within the branch.
- Must be available and willing to work overtime and on an on-call rotation as needed.
- Strong understanding of computer applications and diagnostic tools.
- Strong working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic pumps, and motors.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Customer-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
