• Compensation: $35 - $45 per hour based on location, experience, responsibilities, and performance.

Role Overview: We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients, a leading global player in the AI space. This remote, part-time contract role is dedicated to elevating the AI’s storytelling capabilities. You will serve as a narrative expert, crafting prompts and refining outputs to help the model master the elements of fiction and creative non-fiction—from character development and dialogue to pacing and world-building—ensuring the AI can produce engaging, human-like narratives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write imaginative prompts that test the AI’s ability to generate content across various genres (e.g., sci-fi, fantasy, mystery, romance) and formats (short stories, screenplays, poetry).
• Edit AI-generated stories to improve narrative arcs, ensure consistent character voices, and enhance descriptive imagery ("show, don't tell").
• Assess the model's output for creativity and originality, flagging clichés, repetitive tropes, or flat dialogue.
• Collaborate on creating guidelines for different narrative styles and tones, helping the model distinguish between a whimsical children's book and a noir detective thriller.
• Rewrite "hallucinated" or nonsensical plot points to provide the model with examples of logical, emotionally resonant storytelling.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in creative writing, screenwriting, or playwriting (published works or a strong portfolio is highly preferred).
• Deep understanding of narrative structure, literary devices, and the mechanics of storytelling.
• Exceptional command of English with an ability to adapt voice, tone, and style for different audiences.
• Meticulous attention to detail in grammar and syntax, combined with strong developmental editing skills.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment, managing time across multiple projects.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Rate: Earn up to $45 USD/hr (Rates vary based on project complexity and expertise).
• Flexibility: 100% remote with no fixed schedule. Contributors typically spend 5–10 hours per week, with the option to work up to 40 hours.
