ABOUT GAMING The Gaming branch is responsible to achieve annual revenue targets through provincially operated gaming activities that align with AGLC's vision of responsible gaming. The branch ensures that Gaming activities in the province are operated with integrity and social responsibility, aligning with Gaming Regulations and Board Policy and deliver on commitments to stakeholders in the province of Alberta.
Gaming activities included Electronic Gaming Machines (EGMs), Electronic Table Games (ETGs), Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs), Lottery and Online Gambling.

##JOB SUMMARY
Are you experienced in electronics, troubleshooting, manufacturing and/or disassembling electronic equipment? Then we have a position that may be perfect for you! The Gaming Branch is actively recruiting for a Technical Operations Technician in Supply Chain at Calder warehouse.
Reporting to the Manager, Technical Operations, this position is responsible for the assembly, preparation and testing of all Slot and VLT terminals (and their related equipment) being deployed to the various AGLC gaming networks. This includes the installation of hardware, software, security equipment, performing RAM Clears and terminal setup, according to established criteria as well as repairing or replacing malfunctioning components, performing diagnostic testing of terminal peripheral devices and completing documentation. This position is also responsible for basing/de-basing terminals and parts assembly for salvage (disposal) for all equipment being removed from AGLC networks.
To be successful in this role you must have superior attention to detail and the ability to perform all functions with a high level of accuracy and integrity to meet AGLC standards. Accuracy is imperative as information must be shared with other departments for terminal deployment and disposal. You will also need strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate highly technical information to non-technical audiences. Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, multi-tasking and technical skills are essential as well as good interpersonal skills to work in a strong team environment.
NOTE: Those candidates selected to advance to the interview stage will be required to complete a test prior to receiving an interview.
##SKILLS & ABILITIES

Diploma in Electronics, Certified Engineering Technologist, Telecommunications, or a related field from a recognized post-secondary institution is required.

Minimum of one-year related experience is preferred.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and more or shift weights ranging from 50 to 300 points with the use of lift equipment on a regular basis is required.

Good computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office program (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel) is an asset.
