Overview
Roustabout safely and efficiently perform all manual labor tasks throughout the HT&P pipeline site and TDW HT&P service centers. Responsible for supporting operations including repairing maintaining and transporting equipment and parts as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with work associated with HT&P operations.
- Assist HT&P technicians, mechanics, and other service center employees as needed.
- Assists with the maintenance and repairs of TDW tools and equipment
- Load and unload field materials and equipment onto trucks for safe transport.
- Lay and pick up hydraulic lines, airlines, electric lines, power units, and essential equipment for the tapping and plugging of pipelines.
- Operate cranes, hoists, or other moving or lifting equipment as authorized at TDW facilities.
- Operate forklift, moving and relocating supplies, fittings, and equipment within TDW facilities
- Administrative duties.
- Operate company vehicle between shop and various locations to transport equipment and personnel.
- Use common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, Facility & Job
- Maintain service center facilities and surroundings (housekeeping).
- Clean and maintain work area around customer pipelines as directed by HT&P Field Technician.
- Performs housekeeping HSE procedures as required.
- Enhances and implements approved safety procedures to ensure the personal safety of all parties.
- Effectively responds to internal customer’s requests and solves various shop or field related problems, as they arise.
- Develops the required experience, skill, and behavior competencies to be eligible to promote into TDW Field Technician Trainee, Mechanic Trainee or another career path.
- Prepares and submits expense reports in accordance with established procedures.
- Performs other tasks as may be required from time to time by management.
Experience
- High school diploma/GED required; Vocational Certification preferred.
- Experience in energy or oil gas, pipeline, and water & sewage industry a plus, - Mechanical training preferred.
- Two years of experience disassembling and maintaining mechanical components in a related field preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Familiarity with the safe application of small power and hand tools such as drills, hand and table saws, grinders, etc.
- Ability to understand and execute the proper use of lifting equipment, such as cranes and forklifts to move tools within shop area.
- Willing to travel extensively.
- Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skill.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, in English.
