The targeted salary range

supplemented by a competitive total

s package. The salary offered to the successful candidate will consider a wide array of factors such as the individual’s skillset, level of experience applicable to the role and internal equity considerations.
Uplifting Your Career at
Ornge
The Property Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of Ornge’s facilities. Based at head office, this position
is involved in the
day-to-day
facility
management across all Ornge bases
in southern Ontario
. The incumbent is responsible for planning and coordinating essential services
including maintenance, security, cleaning, landscaping and snow removal, waste management, and recycling
and
to maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for all Ornge staff and visitors.
Key Accountabilities
:
-
Contributes to the d
evelop
ment and execution of
preventative maintenance strategies for all properties
in their portfolio
.
-
Supervises and administers contractor activities, including the execution of the contract and compliance with safety training, Workplace Safety
and Insurance Board (WSIB) clearance and insurance coverage.
-
Acquires quotes and completes required paperwork for procurement guidelines and the Broader Public Sector Directors for Procurement of goods and services.
-
Facilitates space planning requests including new space and moves, at head office and bases, as required.
-
Provides regular inspection of
facility equipment including
emergency power back-up equipment
, fire and generator equipment as well as overhead and hangar door operation.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
:
-
Post-secondary education in Facilities, Property Management, Buildings, Systems, or a trade
.
-
1-2 years of
property specialist, building operator or similar experience at a minimum
is required
and trade experience is valuable.
-
Experience in planning and leading small building
capex
projects (maintenance/repair) is preferred.
