About the role

Role Impact:

The Marketing Specialist - Paid Media will bring experience and passion to lead and build our paid media execution across social, digital and direct channels. This role is fundamental in connecting customers to CF through relevant, engaging content and data-driven communications across digital and physical touchpoints.

Reporting to the Paid Media Manager, you will serve as the primary executor for all Digital Channels, including but not limited to (Paid Social: Meta & Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Google Search, YouTube etc.) while providing support for direct buys (Digital Out-of-Home, CTV, Audio, Local media etc.). Your focus will be on daily campaign management, execution, monitoring, optimization, and reporting of campaign performance across our 14 retail properties, ensuring that all digital communications are deployed accurately to maintain a positive perception of the CF brand and meet established KPIs.

What you will deliver:

  • Execute end-to-end technical setup and launch for all Paid Social, Display, Video, Search & Direct campaigns. Manage the workflow for 14 retail property digital channels in both English and French, ensuring accurate tagging, naming conventions, and link tracking (UTMs).

  • Perform daily monitoring and granular optimizations of audience targeting and bidding strategies. Implement the tactical adjustments required to meet the growth goals of the CF Insider Digital Community as defined by the Manager’s acquisition strategy.

  • Set up A/B and multivariate tests for creative assets and copy. Monitor early results to ensure tests are statistically significant before reporting findings back to the Manager for broader strategy shifts.

  • Leverage key learnings and shopper insights in collaboration with Marketing Intelligence to brief MarCom/Design or external agency teams to develop optimal creative assets for successful campaign execution and overall digital strategy.

  • Point of contact for Direct vendors and platform support. Ensure all creative assets provided by MarCom/Design meet technical specifications for each platform and are uploaded according to the production schedule.

  • Responsible for daily budget pacing to ensure spend is distributed evenly across campaign flights. Flag any delivery issues or spend variances to the Manager immediately.

  • Pull weekly and monthly performance data across the paid media platforms. Identify technical trends (e.g., which ad formats are underperforming) to provide the Manager with the necessary evidence to pivot strategies or brief the creative teams.

  • Assist with the administrative side of media planning & buying, including invoice reconciliation and internal & external reporting.

What your strengths are:

  • It will be critical that this role has a strong attention to detail in management and execution to project timelines, budget management and overall task accountability.

  • Solid verbal and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to generate reports and contribute to presentations that showcase program performance or support recommendations.

  • Innovative and growth mindset to identify potential opportunities as well application of industry-leading practices.

  • Strong relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders and ability to manage any challenges to successfully deliver against project goals, budgets, and timelines.

  • Strong team building skills at a Specialist level and act as a strong role model against CF Values amongst the team.

  • Strong Financial, Business & Marketing Acumen

What you need to succeed:

  • Minimum 3 years of paid media execution experience, preferably in agency
  • Required expertise in digital media platforms and performance driven campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest & Google Ads.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and experience with setting up campaign tracking, tags, and pixels to monitor and optimize campaigns.
  • High level of expertise and passion for performance digital marketing with in-depth knowledge across various paid digital marketing channels.
  • Post secondary education preferably in Business, Marketing, Communications or Digital Marketing

Nice to Haves:

  • Knowledge in project management tool Asana.

  • Knowledge in budget and invoice management tools.

  • Knowledge in Google Suite.

  • AI tool applications.

  • Experience with Brand Lift Studies on Meta.

Starting base salary for this job level may range from $58,194 to $77,592. The actual base salary offered will consider several factors including, but not limited to the role, experiences, skills & qualifications, location, market and internal considerations; with this context, CF reserves the right to pay above this range. Cadillac Fairview offers a competitive total rewards package in addition to base pay which may include a performance – based incentive plan, a comprehensive pension and benefits plan, paid time off including vacation, well-being & volunteer days and support for continued growth and development.
