Product Development Engineering Specialist
About the role
Job Description Job Summary The Product Development Engineering Specialist is responsible for designing new products, modifying existing ones, and preparing accurate technical documentation. This role supports both standard and custom product development, working closely with production, customer service, and IT to ensure efficient and high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new products and update existing ones via NPR and ECN processes
- Create and maintain drawings, BOMs, and technical packages
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure manufacturability and cost-efficiency
- Coordinate prototypes and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Input product data into systems (e.g., AS400)
- Provide support on SolidWorks and AutoCAD as needed
Qualifications Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 35 years experience in manufacturing
- Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD; AS400 and 2020 Construct a plus
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
