AS A SENIOR MANAGER, PEOPLE & CULTURE, YOU WILL:
Develop, implement, and lead Human Resource (HR) and People strategies and initiatives aligned with the mission, goals, and overall strategy of the Firm.
Specific Accountabilities include:
- Collaborates with senior leadership to translate the organization’s vision, goals, and business strategy to support the attraction, engagement, and retention of talent.
- Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management to support the needs of a growing business.
- Manages employee leaves; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance management; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Develops HR strategic planning and implementation including performance measures and evaluation, recruitment, professional development, retention of staff and workplace diversity.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, talent management, and employment law.
- Builds a corporate culture that promotes Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
- Creates, coordinates, and analyzes employee surveys to support the organization’s human resource needs, highlighting any issues, leading indicators, and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, and new technologies in human resources; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to senior leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 5+ years of HR experience with 3+ of that being in a management capacity. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
- CPHR designation is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of Provincial Employment Standards across Canada.
- Demonstrated experience in recruitment and selection, performance management, training and development, and compensation and benefits administration.
- Demonstrated ability to commit to the mission and values of an organization.
- Demonstrated capacity to establish strong, trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
