Your Contribution:
Your main responsibilities
- Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety rules;
- Assisting the Project Managers, Engineers and Technicians in fulfilling multi-disciplinary civil, construction risk and structural health monitoring, geotechnical, environmental, geosciences, remediation, groundwater, and soil related projects across Northern Ontario;
- Coordinating and performing pre-construction condition surveys, vibration and noise monitoring of buildings and structures for construction and blasting related projects;
- Carrying out field geotechnical materials testing and sampling at work sites, potentially including soil compaction testing, concrete testing, asphalt field compaction and sampling;
- Consistently executing prescribed company technical procedures, safe work practices and work plans while completing field, laboratory, and office work;
- Assist with the installation, commissioning, and monitoring of geotechnical and structural health instrumentation sensors and data collection networks;
- Recording test data and preparing factual reports, summaries, data sheets or graphs for interpretation of test results by the supervisor;
- Help maintain databases of records for pre-condition survey files, calibration certificates, equipment manuals and applicable standards;
- Participating in project management, site and staff planning meetings;
- Handling difficult situations with tact and diplomacy to maintain positive working relationships with all internal and external contacts; and
- Performing other related duties as required.
Your Profile:
What makes you unique
- College Diploma in the Civil Engineering Field (Technician or Technology Level);
- Understanding of civil engineering and construction;
- Ability to work independently while contributing to the team’s goals;
- Proficient with use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint);
- Valid provincial driver’s license required.
