Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Logistics Coordinator to manage and support the efficient movement of materials, products, and equipment throughout the supply chain. This role is responsible for coordinating shipments, monitoring inventory movements, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring on-time delivery while maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. The ideal candidate has strong communication and problem-solving skills, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Coordinate domestic and international shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation of goods. Schedule and track inbound and outbound deliveries, working closely with carriers, freight forwarders, suppliers, and customers. Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve transportation delays, delivery issues, and logistics-related concerns. Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, customs paperwork, and shipping labels. Collaborate with warehouse, procurement, manufacturing, and customer service teams to support operational requirements. Maintain accurate shipment records and update logistics data within enterprise resource planning (ERP) and transportation management systems. Coordinate inventory transfers between facilities and support inventory control activities as needed. Analyze transportation costs and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings. Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, customs requirements, and company policies. Communicate shipment updates and logistics performance metrics to internal stakeholders. Assist in carrier selection, freight negotiations, and performance monitoring. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics efficiency, delivery performance, and customer satisfaction. Participate in resolving discrepancies related to shipments, inventory, and transportation documentation.
Required Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, shipping, or warehouse coordination. Experience coordinating domestic and/or international shipments. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Experience using ERP, warehouse management systems (WMS), or transportation management systems (TMS). Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data management.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of customs regulations, import/export procedures, and international shipping requirements. Experience with freight carriers, third-party logistics providers (3PLs), and freight forwarding operations. Familiarity with inventory management and warehouse operations. Experience in manufacturing, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or distribution environments. Professional certifications such as Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or related credentials.
