Job Description The Opportunity: Join our growing Remediation Program Management team in Ontario as an experienced environmental field technician. You’ll travel across the province to lead site remediations, oversee contractors, upskill junior team members, and ensure health and safety protocols are followed. WeAre WSP What you can expect to do here:
- Lead and supervise contaminant hydrogeology and environmental remediation fieldwork across Ontario.
- Supervise subcontractors for ground disturbance and utility location, surveying, borehole drilling, groundwater monitoring well installation, and test pit excavation.
- Oversee remedial contractors, including directing remedial excavations, waste tracking and progress reporting.
- Conduct groundwater, soil and soil vapour sampling, and K-tests.
- Maintain detailed field notes and contribute to project documentation and reporting.
- Manage on-site health and safety protocols and ensure compliance with site-specific plans.
- Travel frequently to diverse project sites, for multiple days, across the province.
What you’ll bring to WSP:
- A diploma in environmental management or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in subsurface investigations, and supervising drilling and remediation contractors.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety practices and a safety-first mindset.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- A desire to mentor and upskill junior colleagues.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout Ontario.
