Calgary

Christian School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Bible & Discipleship

Teacher to join our team. This individual will teach Bible and Discipleship

classes to students in Grades 7, 8, and 9, helping to cultivate a deep

understanding of Scripture while inspiring students to grow in their personal

relationship with Jesus Christ. Teaching in this position will involve leading

outreach events and supporting the Faith Formation within our School.

This role is ideal for an educator who is grounded in biblical truth, committed

to Christian discipleship, and eager to invest in the next generation to impact

the world for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan

    and deliver engaging Bible and Discipleship lessons for Grades 7–9 that will

    reach learning outcomes, meeting a wide variety of student needs.

  • Foster

    a classroom environment that encourages spiritual growth, reflection, and

    active faith.

  • Integrate biblical worldview and principles into daily teaching and student

    interactions.

  • Disciple and mentor students in their walk with Christ.

Assess student learning and provide meaningful feedback.

  • Collaborate with staff to support the overall mission and spiritual life of the

    school.

  • Participate in school and outreach events, chapels, and faith-based initiatives

    within our school and the local community.

Experience

& Qualifications:

  • Alberta Teaching Certificate;

  • Previous experience administering junior and high

    school curriculum;

  • Valid Criminal Record Check (including

    Vulnerable Sector).

  • Valid and current Alberta Teaching Certificate

    (required)

  • Strong foundational knowledge of the Bible and Christian theology.

  • A vibrant and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

  • Demonstrated passion for discipleship and student mentorship.

  • Commitment to Christian education and the mission of the school.

    Faith detailing a commitment to Christian Faith and education, with an

    accompanied letter of Pastoral reference (required).

    sector check from Local Police Service or RCMP detachment;

  • Social Insurance Number (SIN) card or document

The Palliser Regional Schools is a school jurisdiction located in southern Alberta. The geographical area stretches from just south of Lethbridge to the Bow River south of Calgary. Palliser Centre houses the Central Office Administration, Maintenance and Transportation Services and is located in the City of Lethbridge. In addition, a satellite Maintenance Shop has been set up in the Town of Vulcan. The division offers full public education services to approximately 8,1000 students from early childhood services through Grade 12. Palliser has 15 community schools, 17 Hutterian colony schools, 10 Christian alternative schools, nine of which are in Calgary on seven different campuses, four outreach programs, an online school, and two dedicated Low German Mennonite alternative programs. One of our outreach schools and a junior high in one of our community schools also serve the LGM community.
