Job Description:
We are currently searching for a Transportation Technologist in our Edmonton office.
The successful candidate will work with engineers and other technologists to provide construction inspection and design services for a variety of public and private sector clients with a focus on highways, roads, and transportation-related infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and develop your skills in many areas.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting Site investigations, preparing project designs, and preparation of tender documents for road rehabilitation projects for Alberta Transportation and
Economic Corridors.

Experience with Construction supervision and contract administration.

QA/QC of Reports, Quantity Estimates, and Construction drawings.

Design collaboration and ensuring implementation and compliance of company and client CAD standards and procedures within the scope of assigned projects.

Assisting other Technologists, Designers, and Engineers.
Job Requirements:
What you will bring:
- A Civil Engineering Technology diploma from an accredited technical college
- 6+ years of progressive experience in design and construction of roadways projects
- Experience with highway rehabilitation design and construction for Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors.
- Proficiency in roadway design using AutoCAD and Civil 3D an asset.
- Experience with quantity calculations and cost estimating required. Tender document preparation experience is an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to think quickly
- Committed team player with the ability to work independently
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel within Canada
