Position Summary We are seeking a versatile and motivated Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic development team. You will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining web and mobile applications across our technology stack, which includes PHP, JavaScript, Java, Postgres, Cassandra, Spring, and native mobile platforms (iOS/Swift and Android/Kotlin).

The ideal candidate is comfortable working on both frontend and backend systems, has a solid understanding of modern application architecture, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll contribute to the full software development lifecycle—from concept to deployment—across a diverse set of platforms and technologies.

Duties Include (but Are Not Limited To)

• Develop and maintain scalable, full-stack features for telematics web and mobile applications using PHP, JavaScript, Java (Spring), and mobile technologies (Kotlin/Swift).
• Develop responsive, user-friendly UIs using JavaScript frameworks for visualizing real-time and historical telematics data.
• Integrate with third-party telematics hardware and APIs, ensuring reliable and secure communication (skills in third-party interaction are highly desired).
• Work with databases like PostgreSQL and Cassandra to manage large volumes of structured and semi-structured telematics data.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA, and operations to deliver secure, reliable, and well-documented features.
• Contribute to architectural decisions for high-availability and fault-tolerant distributed systems.
• Ensure code quality and system performance through code reviews, testing, and monitoring.
• Perform troubleshooting and bug fixing in live environments.
• Participate in Agile development cycles (Scrum, sprint planning, retrospectives).

Position Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer or in a similar software development role.

• Proficient in PHP, JavaScript, and Java (Spring framework).

• Experience developing or maintaining mobile apps using Kotlin (Android) and/or Swift (iOS) is an asset.

• Solid understanding of RESTful API development and integration.

• Good experience working with PostgreSQL, and familiarity with Cassandra or other NoSQL databases.

• Familiarity with vehicle telematics, IoT protocols (e.g., MQTT), and standards like J1939, OBD-II, or CAN bus is a plus.

• Third-party API integration experience is desired.

• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional Agile team.

• Good documentation skills that allow both Dev and Product teams to efficiently deliver their portion of the solution.

• Self-starter.

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Bonus points for:

• Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure or containerized environments is helpful (e.g., Docker, AWS, GCP).

• Solid front-end usability knowledge

• Experience with AI development tools such as Copilot
