About the role

The role: As a District Educator, you will work within the Distributor territories within Atlantic Canada as a full time educator representing all Kao Salon Brands. You will grow the business of these brands through planning and executing education programs for hairstylists both in salon and in designated venues across the territory.

The territory includes Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and New Brunswick and occasionally Quebec. Kao Canada offers a great benefits package and a salary of $60,000 - $65,000 plus bonus and car allowance. What you will do: Field Education Activity Atlantic Canada (and occasionally Quebec)

  • Conduct in salon education programs as required
  • Promote and execute advanced education at selected venues
  • Develop education plans for top ten customers in assigned territory
  • Develop territory route plan
  • Be available for education support in other regions across Canada as indicated by Field Education Manager

Support to Sales Team:

  • Taking initiative in decision making regarding education programs in assigned territory
  • Educate Distributor Sales Team on new product initiatives
  • To Identify and communicate potential sales opportunities within the assigned territory (and outside should they arise)

Independent Contractor Educator Support:

  • Act as the local contact for Goldwell KMS ad Kerasilk Local Artists
  • Assign education classes to local Artists upon salon request or if DE is unable to conduct
  • Support and assist in recruitment, training and certification of all new Local artists for the territory

What you will need:

  • Active Certificate, Qualification/Hairstyling license (must have had for a minimum of 3 years)
  • 3 years hairstyling experience (exposure to full range of service e.g. cutting, styling, coloring, perming, etc.)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be able to lift/move supplies/materials a minimum of 20 pounds
  • Half of time spent standing, often for long durations during training delivery
