The Position
Field Support Representative NOTE: This position will support hardware one or a combination of Core Lab (Chemistry and Immunochemistry), Molecular Diagnostics and Pathology Laboratory. The successful candidate must be based in the Ottawa, Ontario area. Relocation benefits are not provided for this role. As the Field Support Representative, Customer Support you are responsible for maintaining a positive customer experience at the longest phase of their journey. You are passionate about the healthcare environment and understand the importance of our solutions on the customer experience and patient care. Your enthusiasm for problem resolution and customer satisfaction is supported by your technical knowledge to deliver a stellar customer experience. You will work together with the Customer Support team to deliver timely, accurate and consistent support to our customers to minimize the disruption of their diagnostic service delivery.
The Opportunity
- Build relationships with laboratory systems operators and managers for a dedicated customer base
- Use your strong communication and active listening skills to identify and diagnose customer issues and provide accurate and timely resolution
- Collaborate with the Customer Support team to deliver a seamless and positive customer experience
- Communicate regularly with regional squad members and the Customer Support Manager to gain or share perspective on the customer environment, their expectations and their experience
- Share in a standby rotation for after hours support or vacation coverage with your FSR team
- Collaborate with the Customer Support team on installations (pre-site inspections, technical installation), upgrades and issue resolution
- Perform preventative maintenance and technical service bulletin resolution for your assigned customer base and proactively identify potential issues and highlight these to the Customer Support LeadAdhere to administrative and customer experience standards with each service interaction
Who You Are
- Diploma of collegial studies in electronic technology or community college Specialty in Biomedical
- 3+ years of medical engineering experience, laboratory experience is considered a strong asset
- Knowledge of IT systems & Network infrastructure
- Customer experience references required
- Customer Centricity
- In this position, you will be in contact with colleagues across Canada, so a proficient level of English and fluency in French is required (written and spoken)

- Effectuer la maintenance préventive et la résolution des bulletins de service technique pour la base de clients qui vous a été attribuée et identifier de manière proactive les problèmes potentiels et les signaler au Responsable, assistance client
- Adhérer aux normes administratives et d'expérience client à chaque interaction de service
Qui vous êtes :
- Diplôme d'études collégiales en technologie électronique ou collège communautaire Spécialité en biomédical
- 3 ans et plus d'expérience en génie médical, une expérience en laboratoire est considérée comme un atout majeur
- Connaissance des systèmes informatiques et de l'infrastructure réseau
- Références d'expérience client requises
- Centricité client
- Dans ce poste, vous serez en contact avec des collègues partout au Canada, donc un niveau d'anglais compétent et une maîtrise du français sont requis (écrit et parlé)
