Our client, a manufacturing company operating in the steel industry, is looking for an assembler for the evening shift to join their team.

Tasks
- Master the assembly of steel structures, whether for buildings or support frameworks.
- Read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings to assemble and adjust metal parts, including through spot welding.
- Shape metal using specialized tools and equipment such as torches, grinders, drills, and other production machines.
- Detect any defects in materials, tools, or equipment, inform the immediate supervisor, and ensure protection against damage.
- Strictly follow quality standards, manufacturing procedures, and the company’s work instructions.
- Operate overhead cranes to safely handle parts.
- Always follow occupational health and safety rules and practices.
- Perform any other related tasks as needed.

Job requirements
- Experience assembling metal structures is an asset.
- Possess a diploma (DEP) in welding-assembly or metal structure and ornamental metal fabrication, or have at least 2,000 hours of relevant experience gained in a school or professional setting.
- Excellent ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Comfortable using both metric and imperial measurement systems.
- Skilled with specialized tools and equipment: welding machines, grinders, torches, cutting tools, overhead cranes, as well as lifting, rigging, and handling operations.
- Demonstrate autonomy and dexterity, with a strong ability to adapt, take initiative, and work in a well-organized, collaborative manner.
