We are looking for a Manager, Investments to join our Crestpoint Real Estate Investments Ltd. (“Crestpoint”) team. Part of the Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group, Crestpoint is a commercial real estate investment manager dedicated to providing institutional and high net worth investors with direct access to investment in commercial real estate assets. Through the execution of our disciplined investment approach and active management of our properties, we strive to deliver stable income and attractive long-term returns through a diversified portfolio of office, industrial, retail and multi-family residential properties.
What You Will Do
As a Manager on the Investment Team, you will:

Support the Deal Lead on complex transaction due diligence and overall process of completing new acquisitions and dispositions
-
Lead transaction due diligence and overall process for select acquisitions and dispositions
-
Prepare and review financial analysis for a wide range of real estate investments, including modelling of real estate cash flows, financing assumptions, IRRs, output sensitivities etc.

Coordinate and manage third party consultants on acquisitions and dispositions
-
Effectively communicate with partners, clients, legal, accounting and brokers on active deals
-
Participate in the management and mentorship of junior staff
-
Lead internal management and preparation of investment committee material and related presentation packages

Travel from time to time related to asset and market activity and meetings with management teams, partners and brokers

Participate in ad hoc projects and special assignments as needed
What You Bring
-
4+ years of related real estate experience, ideally on a private markets real estate equity investing team Undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting or Finance preferred
-
Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
-
Advanced experience with ARGUS real estate software
-
CFA designation considered an asset
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills
-
Excellent financial and analytical skills
-
Exceptional attention to detail
-
Proven ability to think logically and problem solve effectively
-
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining strict deadlines
-
Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
-
Proven self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team

A positive attitude, the ability to take initiative and work in a dynamic environment

Ideally the candidate would bring existing relationships in the brokerage/investment community
