About the role

Job Overview: We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Social Media Coordinator. This exciting opportunity involves capturing and documenting events through photography and videography. Ideal candidates should have a passion for visual storytelling, a keen interest in photography and videography, and a willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with management to ensure high-quality visual representation of events.
  • Capture high-quality visual content during events.
  • Edit and organize media content for various platforms.
  • Keep an inventory of media equipment, ensuring everything is in proper working condition.
  • Organize media files in a systematic manner for easy access and retrieval.
  • Identify opportunities for increased media visibility and propose creative solutions.
  • Proactively engage with event participants and stakeholders to gather compelling stories and testimonials.
  • Serve as the key point of contact between different social media teams .

Qualifications:

  • Strong interest in media, photography and videography.
  • Willingness to learn and undergo training.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in photo and video editing software. Graphic design experience is an asset.
  • Availability to work part-time, including evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and multitasking abilities.
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to take initiative.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with local MAC events and an understanding of the organization's mission.
  • Knowledge of WordPress and Canva will be considered as an asset
