About the role
- Leads project planning, and associated supply and subcontract management activities.
- Oversees and coordinates work performed by outside contractors.
- Develop and maintain project WBS, milestones and status using approved CSI ISS tool sets.
- Monitors project performance and interacts with E&T management for recommended schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions.
- Identifies risk and opportunities and maintains risk register for assigned projects
- Provide detailed Monthly Task Status Reporting for assigned projects for both internal and customer stakeholders.
- Coordinate and Perform task management reviews on the following key areas of assigned projects :
- Task Cost Performance
- Review Task Spend and Estimates to Complete vs. Remaining Budgets; review trends and communicate concerns and provide recommended actions to the DND OPIs or LMC E&T Leads.
- ETC Status
- Conduct consistent and thorough ETC reviews with all Cost Account Managers for all tasks ensuring accurate reporting and up to date Task Estimates.
- ETC / Milestone Accuracy
- Review ETCs assigned to upcoming milestones to determine if they appear reasonable and achievable
- Review ETC burndown Performance index that compares the Burn rate (Actual accrual) vs. ETC Burndown as a ratio
- Deliverable / Event Accuracy
- Review Milestones to ensure key events and deliverables are completed as scheduled including key Subcontractor deliverables
- Upcoming Subcontract Invoices
- Ensure that expected invoices from each Subcontractor and procurements are recorded and planned in the CSI ISS Resource Planner such that all planned SubC & ODC expenses are accounted for.
- Staff Loading Analysis
- Review Staff loading in the CSI ISS Resource Planner. Identify any potential concerns to the appropriate E&T resource manager.
- Task Cost Performance
- For Tasking Directives, ensure that work descriptions, cost estimates and resource requirements are identified and agreed to by Senior Program Leads prior to submission of Task Directives to DND OPIs.
What you bring to the role
- Bachelor degree in Commerce or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Must have proven experience to analyze financial data and reports to identify potential problem areas or areas for cost or schedule improvement.
- Possess detailed knowledge of Microsoft applications.
- Experience interfacing directly with DND customer(s).
Additional skills desired for the role
- 3-5 years experience in task management / project coordination /financial data review and analysis.
- Experience supporting T&M type contracts in an ISS environment.
