Expected Salary Range: $90810 - $113512 Annually Target Variable Performance Pay: 8%   The salary range shown above reflects the expected  compensation for this position. The final salary offered will be determined based on a holistic assessment of the candidate’s experience, education, training, and alignment with the role’s requirements. For positions covered by a collective agreement, placement within the range will follow the applicable step or classification.   Reporting to the Manager, Records Services, the Asset Investment Analyst will provide a wide range of engineering support services that will ensure technical soundness, reliability, safety and cost effectiveness of the utility and its Electrical Distribution Power System. The Asset Investment Analyst is responsible for data management, data analytics and business process improvements related to GIS (Geographic Information System) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) projects. The incumbent will play a critical role in shaping GIS and EAM application enhancement and upgrade activities through gap analysis, business process planning and stakeholder collaboration.   This posting is for an existing vacancy.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administer the Utility Plan Mark-Ups (UPM) process, ensuring compliance with City of Toronto Municipal Consent Requirements (MCR) and internal standards. Maintain and strengthen integration between GIS and EAM (SAP) systems to support an accurate and reliable Asset Registry. Develop and establish expertise as a Records subject matter expert, providing guidance on asset records, data standards, and information management best practices. Support the development and implementation of data quality programs, including the standardization of data definitions, governance, and analytical practices across Engineering. Validate, transform, and extract GIS and EAM data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Serve as a civil utility data subject matter expert, providing guidance on asset data structures, standards, and best practices. Develop reports, dashboards, maps, and analytical outputs to support operational and strategic decision-making. Create process maps and workflow visualisations to identify efficiencies and enable continuous improvement initiatives. Perform data profiling and quality assessments, developing metrics and identifying risks related to data integrity, integration, and conversion. Conduct complex analysis using large, multi-variable datasets to address business needs and enhance asset data reliability. Execute periodic data integrity checks on core databases to ensure ongoing data quality and consistency. Assess impacts of system and process changes and communicate findings to stakeholders. Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with GIS and EAM system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements. Support financial processes by validating asset data for derecognition and lifecycle management activities. Contribute to the development and enhancement of asset information management policies, procedures, and data validation rules. Advance asset management capabilities by supporting enterprise data initiatives and aligning with corporate data strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on data requirements, standards, and delivery. Provide technical expertise, consultation, and project support, including contributing to business cases, operational procedures, and process improvements. 

  REQUIREMENTS:

Undergraduate degree preferably in Engineering (Civil Preferred), Geography/GIS programs and/or related discipline  Three (3)–Five (5) years of experience in data analysis, gap analysis, business process redesign, and analysis for business projects, including identifying areas for improvement and developing new initiatives. Two (2) or more years of experience reviewing construction drawings Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) & CAD Systems Knowledge of Municipal Consent requirements Project management designation considered an asset Self-motivated, operates with a high degree of independence and takes ownership of work, striving for a standard of excellence Aptitude and experience in adapting to, managing and facilitating change, as well as a willingness to challenge the status quo Builds strong relationships and manages stakeholders across the organization in order to enable effective delivery of projects Demonstrated leadership skills; strategic thinking, openness to new ideas, and strong communication skills Fully proficient in the use of the entire Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Access, Project and Visio Strong written and verbal communication skills Proven effective problem-solving and analytical ability Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills Excellent analytical, technical, and business solution development skills, including the proven ability to function effectively in a dynamic environment Champions Change, Productivity and Innovation; learns and adopts continuous improvement and productivity methods

    This position is based in a hybrid environment allowing for remote work two days per week, based on business needs. Employees will be required to come onsite Tuesday to Thursday.
