The Early Years Branch is seeking an individual who is a strategic thinker, client-focused, diplomatic and collaborative for the position of Senior Consultant, Early Learning. Reporting to the Director of Early Learning and Workforce, you will provide program and policy leadership and advisory and consultative support for school divisions and service providers regarding the Prekindergarten and Kindergarten programs and related early learning programs in a geographic area of the province. You will conduct research, analyze and interpret current best practices in early childhood education to respond to emerging issues with a solution focus, including the development of instructional resources and materials for educators across the early years sector. You will work collaboratively with a range of internal and external partners to advance positive early learning and childhood development outcomes.

Our candidate of choice will possess strong communication and analytical skills and an understanding of government structures and decision-making processes. Candidates for this position would typically be expected to have a graduate degree with an early childhood focus or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
