Job Summary

We seek a highly organized HR & Admin intern to join our team. As a part of our team, you will contribute to perform various administrative tasks and support our HR & Office department’s daily activities.

Reporting to the Senior Specialist - HR & Administration , the ideal candidate will be self-starter, detail-oriented and possess strong communication skills.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Administer day-to-day personnel changes and edits including using current systems to update information and communicate changes
  • Administer Employment Agreement processes including, creation, paperwork flow, database, personnel record forms, reporting and manager communication for renewals
  • Administer project employee renewals including extensions, tracking of exit dates, database, reporting and status communication with management
  • Create and maintain employee personnel file
  • Administer exit reports and weekly updates to data
  • Follow up with payroll, benefits, HRIS and accounting to ensure that requests are carried out and information is coordinated
  • Audit data across systems to ensure accuracy
  • Maintain electronic filing systems
  • Assist with organizing Staff events: Monthly lunch/dinner gatherings, charity events, team building events, wellness program etc.
  • Assist in executing recognition program e.g. Kudo, High 5, special awards, year-end bonus, special project bonus.
  • Schedule meetings between Recruitment/Managers etc.
  • Maintain office cleanliness and ensure facilities’ functionality.
  • Assist in procurement of sundries, office items, stationaries, F&B, maintain the supply of snacks corner.
  • Perform related duties as required

  • Ability to travel to office (Markham) upon request

Hours will vary between 20-30 hours per week.

Salary: $17 – 19 per hour depending on experience
