YOUR ROLE
As a Finance Associate you will be responsible for the daily processing of our claims payments, drug card claim reconciliation with the third party for payment refund, tracing claims payment and depositing cheques manually or electronically through remote deposit capture. You are required to complete the day's assigned tasks before leaving at the end of the day. Occasional overtime may be required.
Whether you’re making, recording, or analyzing transactions, you’ll need to keep accurate records to ensure nothing ends up where it shouldn’t be. Usually things will go pretty smoothly, but when something doesn’t seem right, you’ll need to report and explain inconsistencies to our Supervisor of Finance and help come up with the fix.
You will be required to maintain accurate, up to date filing systems and records (Paper & Electronic), allowing the Finance Team to easily access information when preparing financial statements and audit working papers, as well as the auditors at year end. This position is on-site as you are a major asset to the finance team!
Sometimes you’ll be working with others on projects, so you’ll also need to bring good interpersonal skills to this position.
YOUR IMPACT

You will print and distribute cheques, estimates or copies of explanation of benefit.

You will submit and confirm direct deposit file from various banks and void any rejected transactions.

You will void/trace claims payments as needed.

You will reconcile drug claims paid by third party partner.

You will be responsible to deposit cheques through remote deposit capture or manually by filling the deposit form.

You will manage multiple projects with various established deadlines.

You will manage and maintain accurate financial records.

You will find and correct inconsistencies and inefficiencies.

You will maintain the highest level of client confidentiality.
THIS IS YOU

You have a Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field.

You have 1+ years' experience in accounting or finance.

You are computer proficient; including MS Office (Excel)

You are tech savvy, and are quick to learn new software.
THIS IS NICE

You have previous experience working with Sage Intacct
-
You have experience using Sage Intacct an asset

You have previous experience with audits, and working with external auditors.

YOUR COMPENSATION
At the time of this posting, the estimated annual base salary for this position is $45,000-50,000 Individual compensation within this range is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and education/training. This range reflects the annual base salary only and does not encompass our comprehensive total rewards, benefits, and potential bonuses that we proudly offer.
