As a Senior Account Administrator, a typical day might include:
- Preparing submissions for marketing purposes, negotiating terms & conditions with underwriters as applicable
- Preparing proposals for quotes and/or renewals as applicable
- Following through and follows up with clients and underwriters on outstanding requests and information
- Obtaining orders and binds coverage with underwriters as applicable
- Keeping Account Managers and Account Executives up-to-date on the status of client accounts
- Providing friendly, professional service to customers, Account Managers, and Account Executives
- Handling claims, including reporting to insurers, inputting new data, and updating clients on claims status as applicable
- Handling routine customer, Account Manager, and Account Executive inquiries and concerns in a timely manner
- Preparing pre-renewal documentation, issuing Vehicle Liability Slips, updating 21 logs with changes, ordering MVR’s, and issuing invoices as applicable
- Issuing requests to insurers for policy changes & endorsements
- Ensuring work is prompt, efficient, and accurate
- Monitoring and issuing certificate requests
- Ensuring all documents are accurate and accounts are kept in an orderly manner
- Preparing Certificates of Insurance and enclosure letters
- Obtaining Premium Finance quotes
- Reviewing policies against Cover Notes for accuracy
- Processing glass contracts, as applicable
- Managing daily administration of accounts, including correspondence; policy review; issuance of certificates referencing contracts/leases; and issuance of new/renewal documentation, at direction of Account Manager or Account Executive
- Issuing invoices, endorsements, Cover Notes, financing contracts, etc.
- Working Accounts Receivable list
- Maintaining expiration lists and abeyances
- Setting up files for new accounts
- Handling files and general account maintenance including but not limited to SOVs and Equipment schedules; holder lists; self-audit support for the team; etc
- Scanning and attaches documents in broker management system as appropriate
- Documenting and reports activities in broker management system
- Processing Client Code changes when applicable
- Transcribing data to worksheets and enters data into computer for use in preparing documents and adjusting accounts
- Processing payments through Axis’ online service
Must Haves:
- Minimum 6 months of insurance experience, consistently meeting internal core competencies
- General Insurance Salesperson Level 1 in province of residence
- Active pursuit of CAIB, CIP, CRM, or other insurance designations considered an asset
- Post Secondary Degree considered an asset
- Experience using Epic broker management system an asset
